Meet the AILC StaffAngela Parker, Executive Director
She received a Bachelor's degree in political science from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, and a Master's in public administration with an emphasis in non-profit management from UALR. A native of DeWitt, Arkansas, Parker currently resides in Little Rock with her husbank, Dr. David Sink, professor and senior research specialist for UALR's Institute of Government. Julie Finley, Office ManagerJulie Finley is the Office Manager of the Independent Living Council. Julie is completing her third year as an advocate for systems change for herself and others with disabilities in Arkansas. She assists the Executive Director in advocacy trainings around the state, as well as manages the AILC office. Julie belongs to an online group—CMTUS, which supports persons with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, a hereditary motor sensory neuropathy that affects her and other members of her family. She is currently taking a class in sign language in order to advance her communication skills. Her goal is to help make Arkansas a better place for all Arkansans with disabilities to live, work and play.
